Collaborations

'Eilat' is an original piece written and composed by Elan Bortniker during a two-day songwriting workshop with The Shuk near Jerusalem in May of 2009. Then a high school senior at Solomon Shechter of Essex & Union (New Jersey, USA), Elan participated in Israel Experience's Neshama program and took part in a series of music-oriented workshops dealing with Jewish Idenity & Israeli culture, heritage, and history. All instruments were recorded by Elan. Lyrics were written by Elan Bortniker and Etan Heller. The recording features Etan Heller, Erica Rabner, Aaron Feiblatt and Yoni Avital of The Shuk.

"Dear Yoni & Ami,
How are you? When I came back from Israel, I recorded the song we wrote during the workshop...I thank you for giving me the opportunity to write it. Shana Tova!" - Elan B
