Born in cosmopolitan Brooklyn and raised between New York City and Israel, Yoni Avital grew up immersed in a vibrant blend of cultures. Yoni serves as the driving force behind The Shuk, guiding the group to stages and events around the world while engaging audiences with his artistry as a performing artist and multi-instrumentalist.

As a cantor, vocalist, flutist, guitarist, and singer, Yoni’s diverse skill set has shaped The Shuk’s distinctive sound, allowing their music to transcend cultural and geographical boundaries.
